Windows

Awesome Joinery specialize in replacing broken, loose or locked stiff stays (window hinges) of any size or style to best fit the windows you have in your home or office.

For this process we take the window completely out of its frame and replace the arms on either side with brand new stays.

Ranch sliders

If windows are our bread then Ranch Sliders is our butter, we deal with countless ranch sliders every week and usually tackle the ones most other companies won’t even want to look at.

We can replace or retrofit wheels for any style of joinery (parts pending) giving your door a nice and smooth roll.

We can adjust or replace broken handles that may have suffered the test of time (if you want the original handle it is pending on supplies as some of these are now obsolete).

We do single, double, stacker doors and double glazed ranch sliders.

Bi-fold doors

Bi folding doors can be tricky to fix, not for us though, as we constantly repair broken doors that aren’t sliding back properly, aren’t locking or doors that do not move at all.

Some Bi fold doors have plastic guides in them that are not made anymore but with a background in plastics engineering at Awesome Joinery we are able to fashion our own plastic guides that replicate the originals 100%.

Sealing

Another great service we offer is the Sealing of any gaps you may have in the joinery from old age and general wear and tear that may be causing small leaks in your window or ranch slider.  

We use a special sealant (it is used when the Joinery is originally put together) and run it along the areas that are affected, tightening it all up and almost re-welding it together again. This product is 10x better than silicone and even needs its own solvent to get off.

Rubbers

Got short lengths of rubber in your windows? Or maybe none at all? At Awesome Joinery we can change all internal rubber such as butterfly or V-rubber giving your windows a snug, draft free close, we also replace external rubber which is usually a wedge rubber on windows of any size (as long as there is access to the window from the outside).

Replacing these rubbers can prevent your windows from leaking in the corners and bringing small drafts in through gaps left by the original rubber.

Catches

We can also replace any broken or loose window caches (Handles) whether its Sub fix, Face fix, wedged or wedge less. We also replace frame wedges and packers to suit any style of window you want your new catches on.

Restrictors

Do you want to add more security to your house but like to have the windows open for some fresh air? Or just trying to make the windows safer for any young ones running about? Awesome Joinery NZ can install window restrictors to any window you have around the property, these restrictors only allow the window too be opened with a gap of 100mm making sure no one can come in or out. These restrictors are usually installed from the outside and inside and do not require the window to be removed from the frame (unless something is blocking access e.g wall, drain pipe etc)
